Reviews
This collection was a donation of prints from the photographer's widow, herself a great artist, that includes versions that the widow thought were her husband's favorites and other variations (yes in thumbnails but still appreciable) that show the differences. Being someone who teaches photography the masterful prints presented versus the reproductions other books use give you an insight into the mastery of the form of photography that few attain. This book is a must collect as while he might not be the most important photographer (American or otherwise) he is important in moving the artform along. He inspired, taught and advised so many great photographers and with this book we can be also. The essays while adequate are not what this book is purchased for.
